Oh Look!!! I have followers....be careful you guys, I'm not sure where I'm going.
So, I'm on Flickr...found a great pic...made my own account. Now, I'm sure I saw the word "discovery" as in "exercises" somewhere. I'll have to come back and do one of the discovery exercises later....the bell just rang.
*Oops, now I'm following myself. Great! Have to fix that. :P
**Ok, fixed that...now to follow someone else.
***Oops, now I'm following some ppl twice!!
****Flickr not working for me...should be a beautiful picture of a hawk here somewhere.
This is definitely an interesting trip.

A little about me...reluctantly.
At the end of this school year, 2009/2010, I will have 30 years in education. How did that happen? Where has the time gone? 14 years in the classroom teaching Earth Science and 16 years in the library. It's been a wild ride and one that I wouldn't have missed for the world.
My thoughts on working in the Bell LMC:
Information Literacy is defined as: "the ability to recognize when information is needed and to locate, evaluate, and use it effectively." My job is to teach you how to find the information you need. We have all kinds of resources: print, online databases, ebooks and more to help you in your research. The library staff and I will be happy to show you how to use them. We also have a great Fiction collection for your reading pleasure.
I love working in the LMC. My staff is absolutely the best. They are dedicated, enthusiastic and always ready to help. The students and faculty here at Bell are wonderful. I feel we're fortunate to have such a wonderful facility and such great resources in the LMC, however, I am always looking for ways to make it even better.
PS: I'm still having a great time. ;)

Welcome to LMC eNEWS
Welcome to the new spot for LMC information here at L. D. Bell. As I work on this blog and learn "23 new things" as part of the course, "HEB23: Web 2.0 in 2010" I thought, "why not make this a means of communication with you, the faculty?"
In 2001, I made my first website on "Myschoolonline.com" It was so exciting; I was up at 5 AM studying HTML to see what magic the code could perform online. Just a "< >" here and an "a href" there and all kinds of things appeared on your webpage. Too cool! Well, in the world of computers: ya snooze..ya lose. I enjoy learning new things and look forward to updating my skills....at least until there is a new set of 23 things....
So....here we go. Let's learn this new stuff together.
